I’m a Picky Eater

Do you constantly pick at the meals you are preparing for yourself and your family? That’s one of the hardest things for me to resist. Do you snack on “just a couple” before you give your kids or your company a treat. Than you are a “picky eater” too. I have been known to pick at meals before they get to the table.

You, like me are probably counting calories or a t least “watching what you eat”, but are you watching out for this hidden pit fall. Typically these finger foods are easy to just pop in your mouth. They take little time or energy to prepare and almost always they aren’t very healthy for you.
We have a rule in our house that I really struggle with. We only eat at the table. We don’t eat in the car or sitting in front of the TV. I am the biggest rule breaker. I want to pick at everything I am cooking, whether it be just a few carrots from the soup I’m making on the stove or a few hand full’s of trail mix while I’m making snack bags for the kids lunch boxes. I can hardly resist the temptation. Having the rule helps me stick to my weight loss and healthy living goals. I don’t need a pinch of this here and pinch of that there. If I can resist, if I can follow the rule, I know that I will be supporting the goals I want to achieve with my weight loss and health. Are you a rule breaker too?
